This auction features the 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport roadster 1:18th scale diecast race car from the Yat Ming - Road Legends for their Signature Series diecast collection. Car is approximately 9 1/2" long and in mint in box condition. It has opening doors, trunk and hood and is free rolling on Goodyear competition tires. This is the type of street legal Test Mule used by Corvette Racing to set up cars for the Nassau Speed Weeks in 1964 and Sebring & Daytona in 1966. This diecast is a replica of one of the final GS Vettes . They had their tops removed and the windshields lowered to reduce weight. This one is painted in accurate Corvette Silver Blue . This diecast has great interior detail, with readable gauges and racing seat harnesses, a fire extinguisher and more, just like the competition cars. Has opening doors, trunk (with spare tire) and hood. Contains a very nice representation of the 327 ci Chevy OHV V8 racing engine. Lots of little details as well, with Vette emblems and insignias and Goodyear Performance tires. This is a beautiful, well done diecast! It is sure to make a great addition to your Endurance race car or Chevy Corvette 1:18 diecast collection.
